Adopt a Rescue Dog

We believe ALL DOGS deserve access to fresh food. The Adoption Project feeds thousands of rescue dogs across the nation in an effort to provide the most vulnerable pups with the life-saving nutrition they need to thrive! Here are some furry faces searching for their new homes.

Pug Nation Rescue of L.A.

Snowman

3 years, 25 lbs, Male Pug Mix

Snowman was found as a stray before coming to the rescue. We can’t be certain what his life was like before, but it seems like it’s been a while since he’s felt kindness from humans. He’s timid with introductions, but if you’re calm and patient with him, he’ll warm up and become relaxed and comfortable around you in no time! He loves cuddling and receiving belly rubs from the people he’s deemed trustworthy. Snowman seems to prefer women to men and isn’t very warm to strangers. Snowy isn’t a fan of loud, sudden noises so he would do best in a calm home without small children. He is a very sweet and gentle boy once he’s able to collect his bearings. Snowy does well with other dogs and loves to play with his stuffed animals. We aren’t sure what Snowy’s mixed with, but there’s some suspicion he’s part Corgi due to his large chest and short legs. Whatever his mix is, he’s 100% perfect in our eyes and we hope you see it too! Please inquire today if you’re interested in Snowman!

Korean K9 Rescue

Char

4 years, 50 lbs, Female Jindo/Boxer Mix

This beautiful Jindo mix had a sad start to her life. She was chained her entire life, suffering from the brutal heat and freezing cold temperatures in Cheonan, Korea, with little food and water to survive. She was also with her puppy, Winston. Despite her struggle to keep them both alive, they were saved by a compassionate foreigner who spotted them and contacted Korean K9 Rescue. Char's journey is one of incredible resilience and we are thrilled with her progress. She was rehabilitated at our rescue center in Bundang and this sweet, gentle, and clever 4-year-old is now thriving in NYC and is ready to bring endless joy to your family. During her time in the city, she's found her playful spirit and a love for companionship with her foster brother. From fetch enthusiast to a relaxed companion, she is fully crate and potty trained, Char is the perfect blend of energetic and relaxed. She loves to play fetch and also enjoys quiet, cozy moments.

Muttville Senior Dog Rescue

Maestro

14 years, 14 lbs, Male Pomeranian

Maestro is one wonderful guy. He is such a good older little man to have around. No one can agree on his age, but he is active and loves to go on walks. He seems to really like to be around gentle children and seems fine with cats. He is great with other dogs too. He is such a pleasure to have around. He sleeps through the night and is house broken. He loves to go outside in the yard to explore but his most favorite thing is to be with you. He is fine being left alone and will use a pee pad if needed. We have not heard him bark yet! His back end is a bit weak when he first gets up from his naps, but given a minute, he is ready to go. This older pup will make a wonderful and fun companion.

K9 Kismet Dog Rescue

Ivy

3.5 years, 55 lbs, Female Pit Bull Terrier

Ivy is an incredibly affectionate, medium-energy dog. She hasn't met a human she doesn't love. Ivy is house-trained, crate-trained, and good on leash. She likes playing with toys, is smart, cuddly, and eager to please. She is still learning to be confident and comfortable around other dogs so (for now anyway) we believe she would do best as an only-dog or paired with a calm, older male dog about her size. No cats please.

Wags & Walks Rescue

Flo

10 years, 50 lbs, Female Pit Bull Terrier

Hello, best friends! My name is Flo and I am one of the happiest, most lovable dogs you’ll ever meet. I’m a 10 year old pit bull weighing in at about 50 pounds. Due to an old injury I had to get my eye removed, but it’s healing very nicely and doesn’t slow me down at all! In fact, the people at Wags say it makes me even more beautiful. I’m a goofy, friendly girl and am a total couch potato. My foster parents say I’m ‘one of the laziest dogs you’ll ever meet’. I love spending time with my humans no matter what we’re doing! I also enjoy playing with toys, basking in the sun and being swaddled with a blanket. I’m crate trained, potty trained and walk nicely on leash with a confident handler. I’m a super special girl and I know I’ll keep you smiling and laughing if you take me home forever. I’ll do best as the only dog in the home. I’m healthy, up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.

Thrive Animal Rescue

Pika

12 years, 9 lbs, Male Yorkie/Chihuahua Mix

Pika's personality can be described as a cat in a dog's body. He is beautiful but only allows you to pet him on his terms, which is rarely. He grumbles & growls when affection is unwanted and retreats to his crate. He loves laying in the shade. Pika will tolerate other dogs in the house but will go after outsiders on or off leash. He takes medication for allergies and has a collapsing trachea. Pika is potty trained but still needs a belly band indoors to avoid occasional marking. He will do best in a quiet, serene setting so not to aggravate his cough by barking. He has lameness in his back legs which cause him to occasionally stumble and fall when walking. For his age, Pika has good pep and will bring cat joy in dog form for many more years.

Unconditional Rescue

Hagrid

11 years, 10 lbs, Male Shih Tzu

If you dream of having a quiet, calm, easy lap dog then look no further! Hagrid (named after Harry Potter’s scruffy, lovable, gentle giant of a friend) is so sweet and would add so much love to any household. He loves to curl up on your lap for a nice long nap and would make an excellent family member for someone who either isn’t that active or doesn’t have time for multiple walks per day.
